Our mission is to help others do the same—travel, explore, and enjoy time with the people who matter most.
Our Story
Years ago, our family—Ned, Molly, and our three daughters—took a trip to Yellowstone National Park and Jackson, Wyoming. We instantly fell in love with the stunning scenery, the open skies, and the sense of adventure that filled the air. That trip left such a mark on us that we decided to purchase a home in nearby Alpine, Wyoming.
From the start, we knew we wanted to share this special place with others. Opening our home to guests and helping them experience the fascination of the wild west became something we truly enjoyed doing as a family. Before long, we started dreaming of doing the same in tropical Florida … and that’s how Cowboys and Mermaids Vacation Rentals came to be!

Tucked into the mountains of Alpine, Wyoming, this cozy retreat is perfect for anyone who loves the great outdoors. Wake up to crisp mountain air and breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Spend your days hiking through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, fly fishing on the Snake River, or taking a scenic drive to Jackson Hole. In the winter, you can hit the slopes at nearby Snow King, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, or our family’s favorite, Grand Targhee. The adventure list is truly endless and there are no boring seasons in Alpine!
Peace of Paradise - North Captiva Island, Florida
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, this beachfront home on North Captiva Island is just the place. Accessible only by ferry, private boat, or small, private plane the island offers an exclusive escape from the noise of everyday life. Spend your mornings collecting seashells along the shore, your afternoons kayaking through mangrove tunnels, and your evenings watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. With no cars on the island, you'll get around by golf cart, making every moment feel like an adventure.
Tipsy Turtle - North Captiva Island, Florida
Also on North Captiva Island, this charming home is perfect for soaking up the island lifestyle. Whether you’re sipping a tropical drink on one of the 4 decks or grilling fresh seafood with friends, this home makes it easy to embrace the slower pace of island life. Spend your days swimming in the pool, fishing from the shore, or exploring the island’s 700 acre nature preserve. Then, head to one of the island’s quaint restaurants for a tasty meal with a local flair.
Lummi Island, Washington – A Serene Coastal Retreat
Driftwood Dreams – Sitting in the peaceful backdrop of the Pacific Northwest, this home on Lummi Island is all about tranquility. Wake up to the sound of the waves lapping against the shore and enjoy a quiet morning with a cup of coffee on the deck. Spend the day hiking the island’s scenic trails, kayaking through the Salish Sea, or exploring local art galleries and adorable farm stands. As the evening sets in, watch the sky turn shades of pink and purple over Mt. Baker, then curl up with a book by the fireplace.
